Frequently asked questions

Is Kipi an official MercadoLibre product?
No. Kipi is not an official MercadoLibre product. It connects to your account using the official MercadoLibre OAuth authorization flow, with the permissions you approve. We never ask for or store your password.
Do I need to install anything?
No. Kipi runs in the cloud. Just authorize your MeLi account, get your Telegram link and you're done. No apps, no extensions, no scripts.
Can Kipi see my MercadoLibre password?
No. The connection uses OAuth 2.0 PKCE: MercadoLibre asks you for authorization directly and gives Kipi an access token. Kipi never sees or stores your password.
What permissions do I give Kipi?
Kipi needs permissions to read operational information from your account, such as sales, listings, questions and data required to calculate margins and reports. Some actions, like issuing invoices or replying to messages, are only executed if you request or enable them. Kipi does not touch your money or see your password.
Can I get my MercadoLibre account banned for using Kipi?
Kipi connects through official authorization and does not use browser extensions, scripts or scraping on your account. It does not modify listings or reply to buyers without your permission. Like any integration, it depends on MercadoLibre's rules and availability, but Kipi is designed to operate safely and within authorized permissions.
Is my data mixed with other sellers'?
No. Every seller's data is isolated by account. Your information is not shared with other users and Kipi only responds using data from your own operation.
Does Kipi invoice in ARCA? How does that work?
Kipi can issue a Factura C in ARCA when you request it or when you enable that automation. Before using invoicing, you configure your tax details and emission rules. Kipi tracks your monthly running total to help you stay within your monotax category ceiling. By default, Kipi does not issue invoices without you requesting it from Telegram.
Can Kipi issue invoices without my review?
Not by default. You can ask Kipi to issue a specific invoice from Telegram. If you later enable automatic invoicing, it is configured with clear rules and you can pause it whenever you want.
What happens if an invoice fails or a sale is cancelled?
If an invoice fails, Kipi notifies you on Telegram so you can review it. If a sale is cancelled or needs a correction, we show you the status to avoid duplicates or incorrect actions. Invoicing is always recorded so you can audit it.
Can Kipi answer buyer questions for me?
Today Kipi notifies you in real time when a question arrives and shows you the listing context so you can reply faster. You send the reply. Assisted replies may be available in the future, always with prior configuration and seller control.
Does it work if I have a lot of listings? How many?
Kipi is built for real MeLi volumes. Whether you have 50 or 500 active listings, it syncs everything the same way. No listing limit in the plan.
What happens if MercadoLibre or ARCA change something?
Kipi monitors changes and interruptions in external services. If MercadoLibre or ARCA require reconnection, updates or manual review, we notify you on Telegram. If something external fails, Kipi does not force sensitive actions like invoicing or modifying data without confirmation.
Do I need a phone to use Kipi?
Yes. Telegram works on iOS, Android, web and desktop. Kipi's bot works on any Telegram client. No extra app to install.
What happens after the 7-day free trial?
